Our Story

Nashville's Village

We didn't invent The Village.
We just gave it a wordmark.

Old Hickory, Tennessee. Ten minutes from downtown Nashville, a bend in the Cumberland, one water tower and about two square miles of people who know each other's dogs by name.

Already part of the skyline

The tower has been branding this neighborhood for decades. It's on nobody's letterhead and everybody's photos. It's the thing you look for coming across the bridge, the thing that tells you you're almost home.

So we started there. A thin-line drawing, a confident script, a zip code, and a promise to keep it honest: no fake est. dates, no hand-lettered nostalgia for a version of the South nobody actually lived in.

The idea

“We're not creating a souvenir brand for Old Hickory. We're giving The Village a modern identity.”
